Our YOUNG ACTORS SUMMER WORKSHOPS take place every July and August.
During the workshops students take part in various drama and acting games and activities, all the while working towards their own short film.
At the start of each day we lead the students through a vocal and physical warm up along with drama warm up games in order to prepare them physically and mentally for the day ahead.
During the week students will learn the fundamentals of acting and performance whilst preparing for acting in front of the camera. They can also enjoy other activities associated with creating a short film. During the workshops we will focus on character building, improvisation, environments, emotions, script writing, team work, confidence, acting for camera and much more.
At the end of the week students will act in their very own short film. The films will be shot using professional equipment under film set conditions. During filming students will have the opportunity to learn more about the world of filmmaking and working on a set. After the workshop is completed the footage will be edited using Final Cut Pro and each student will be sent a copy of his or her work upon completion.
