YEAR OLDS

ATTENDANCE POLICY

At CREATION DRAMA STUDIO, we value the commitment and dedication of our students to their artistic growth and development in our after-school drama and filmmaking classes.

Acting and filmmaking is a collaborative and group activity, and our students play an integral role as members of a team.

When a student is absent, it can significantly impact the progress of the class, especially during rehearsals and film shoots.

We understand that there may be instances when students are unable to attend a class due to illness, holidays, or scheduling conflicts.

To ensure fairness and consistency, we have established the following absence policy:

Lateness Policy:

In the event that a student is going to be late for a class, we request that you contact the workshop leader to inform them of the delay. This applies both to dropping off and collecting your child. Our workshop leaders are committed to maintaining the class schedule, and they will proceed with the class even if a student is late. They will make arrangements to admit your child when they arrive.

We kindly ask all parents and guardians to make every effort to collect their child on time at the end of the class. While our workshop leaders will always stay with the child until they are collected, delays can disrupt the flow of the next class or cause our staff to work beyond their scheduled hours.

Individual Student Absences:

  • CREATION DRAMA STUDIO does not offer refunds or make-up classes for individual student absences. It is the responsibility of the student and their parent/guardian to ensure regular attendance.

Scheduled Holidays or Conflicts:

  • If a student knows in advance that they will be absent due to a scheduled holiday or conflict, they are encouraged to inform the instructor and CREATION DRAMA STUDIO administration as soon as possible.

  • No refunds or make-up classes will be provided for classes missed due to scheduled holidays or conflicts.

Illness or Unforeseen Emergencies:

  • In the event of illness or unforeseen emergencies that prevent a student from attending a class, please notify CREATION DRAMA STUDIO as soon as possible.

  • No refunds or make-up classes will be provided for classes missed due to illness or unforeseen emergencies.

Class Cancellations by CREATION DRAMA STUDIO:

  • If CREATION DRAMA STUDIO is required to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances we will:
    • Offer a refund for the canceled class.

    • Provide a future discount for the student's enrolment in another class.

    • Schedule a make-up class at a later date convenient for all enrolled students.

Class Rescheduling:

  • CREATION DRAMA STUDIO reserves the right to reschedule classes or adjust the class schedule due to unavoidable circumstances, such as inclement weather or facility closures. In such cases, CREATION DRAMA STUDIO will inform students and parents/guardians of the rescheduled class date and time.

Communication:

  • Clear and timely communication is essential. Students, parents, and guardians are encouraged to maintain open communication with the CREATION DRAMA STUDIO administration regarding any absences or scheduling conflicts.

Policy Acknowledgment:

  • By enrolling in our after-school workshops, students and their parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to adhere to this absence policy.

Note: While CREATION DRAMA STUDIO is committed to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for all students, we appreciate your understanding of our absence policy, which is designed to maintain fairness and consistency in class management.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please feel free to contact us at info@creationdramastudio.com.
